Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you might want to know before your next great cup.
Is your coffee really roasted to order?
Yes. Every bag is roasted the day it ships. We do not warehouse pre-roasted inventory. This ensures maximum freshness, aroma, and flavor in every cup.
How fresh will my coffee be when it arrives?
Your coffee is roasted the same day it leaves the roaster. Most customers receive it within just a few days of roasting.
Fresh coffee delivers better aroma, stronger crema (for espresso), and fuller flavor.
What does “specialty grade” mean?
Specialty grade coffee scores 80+ points on the Specialty Coffee Association scale. It represents the top tier of coffee quality worldwide — cleaner flavor, fewer defects, and more distinct tasting notes.
We only source specialty-grade beans.
Should I choose Whole Bean or Ground?
We recommend Whole Bean for maximum freshness.
Grinding just before brewing preserves aroma and flavor. If you don’t have a grinder, choose your preferred grind size and we’ll grind it specifically for your brew method.
What grind size should I choose?
-
Whole Bean – Best for freshness if you grind at home
-
Standard – Drip machines / pour over
-
Espresso – Espresso machines
-
Coarse – French press / cold brew
If you’re unsure, Standard works for most home drip brewers.
What size should I order?
-
12oz – Perfect for trying a new roast
-
1 LB – Great value for regular coffee drinkers
-
2 LB / 5 LB – Ideal for heavy coffee households or offices
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. We offer free shipping on all U.S. orders.
Why is your coffee priced at a premium?
We focus on specialty-grade beans, small-batch roasting, and roasting to order. Producing coffee this way costs more than bulk warehouse coffee — but the flavor difference is noticeable.
How should I store my coffee?
Keep it sealed, cool, and away from light. No refrigeration needed. An airtight container stored in a cabinet works perfectly.
Can I change or cancel my order?
If your order hasn’t been roasted yet, contact us as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to help.
