Our Commitment to Stewardship

At Night Owl Coffee Company, we source responsibly, roast with care, and prioritize long-term relationships with the people and land behind every bean.

Our great coffee starts with responsible practices.  From farm to cup, we're committed to stewardship at every step of our journey. Every bag of coffee sold supports World Coffee Research a non-profit that assists farmers with the tools, knowledge and plants necessary to adapt to the changing climate. 

Additionally, for each lb. of coffee sold, we fund the planting of 1 tree through the 'Trees for Education Program', formed by the collaborative efforts of UNASDG, Imani's Board and Embu officials. After year 1, the tree is included in the program that leverages the International Carbon Market through the UNASDG. This funds children's education in Kenya and to date TCR has funded the planting of over 7,210 trees.

Direct Trade Relationships

We work directly with coffee farmers to ensure fair compensation and sustainable farming practices. Our partnerships support communities and protect the environment for future generations.

Eco-Friendly Packaging

Our packaging is designed with the planet in mind, using recyclable and compostable materials whenever possible. A majority of our retail products are shipped in compostable or recyclable packaging and most of our shipping materials are curbside recyclable!

Carbon Conscious Roasting

We continuously work to reduce our carbon footprint through efficient roasting practices and renewable energy initiatives.

All of our processes are designed to have as minimal an impact as possible. We not only invest in but actively participate in activities that offset our carbon footprint to one day reach a process as close to carbon neutral as possible.
